The MEl is a quality piece of equipment. Very fast and very accurate. You will appreciate the light and the FAST mode. We have several in our group and the readings have been consistent and accurate.

I would recommend spending a few dollars more and getting a tri-field meter. The Alpha-Labs model uses a pointer rather than a display which will let you seee subtle changes more effectively than just watching numbers change.

But a word of advice, you mention ghost detection. There is no such thing as a ghost detection meter. In fact there is really no proof changing fields are the result of ghosts either. No meter, regardless of price will detect ghosts; they only measure background EM Fields from various sources. So if you expect to detect ghosts with it, save your money.

I would agree in all respects with Cave. The TriField meters are fine for their intended purposes as far as anyone knows, will not detect 'ghosts'.

There just 1 problem, I can't read Analog readings.
unless they make a digital tri EMF temp meter.
analog meters are a pain to read.

Please exsplain how ghost hunters find ghosts with meters?
that alone is there any prof of ghost or spirits around.

Short note> they thri EMF meter can be set off by a distiant thunder storm.
If I do get the tri meter EMF, I would have to get a digital themomter to find cold spots.
but tri meter can't be use durning electrical storms..

Tri-Field Natural EM Meter by AlphaLab
I guess I might get this one, I might have to install light in it unless it lights up.

The lack of a light is a downside to the Trifield meter. But not a major problem. Just use a dim LED light. The exact number is not that crucial anyway. EM Fields are not absolute in value. The exact level is also controlled by the distance you are from the source. For example a 10 mg. field reading means nothing except that's what the meter sees where it is located right now. The actual source may be a 50 mg level near by, or a 500 mg source some distance away. A single meter reading won't tell you which.

That is why I like the analog meter rather than a digital display. If the field changes slightly in intensity the meter moves. Very simple concept. With digital the numbers change, but you have to interpret the change to determine if it went up or down. Since the actual number is not critical, it's much easier to simply detect the movement and save the time of inturpretation.
