Hello! I am looking for some fun haunted places in Thunder Bay, Ontario. I already know about Trowbridge, Floodway, and the cemetaries, but I am looking for a change. I would totally prefer an indoor location (ie haunted abandoned buildings) that I can access at night. I tried the internet with no success. You are my last hope....

Sometimes I think you have to accept whatever kind of hauntings there are and not be picky about what's available. I've done some searching and anything indoors is doubtfully accessible at night.

I did find a listing for the Econolodge (formerly Circle Inn) which supposedly has haunts in room 216 so maybe you could stay there and ask for that room specifically. Maybe you'll hear the babies crying too.

up onion lake road there is an old house surrounded by barns in the back, someone just bought the property and demolished the trees in the fields but me and my 1 other friend who has had paranormal activity seem to follow her around went walking through there, and we always had a creeped out feeling.. we heard knocking on the windows and when we would knock on them and ask them to copy us.. they would.. then finally when we were ready to go, my friend asked it to do something really loud to prove it was there.. and an old school phone started ringing.. but when we searched the house, there was no phone or phone line. and the power had been cut off to the house a long time ago.. the next day we went back in the day time to look again for any sort of phone but even when we searched the barns and such, there was nowhere for a phone to be.. so if you want to get scared, go find the house at night, whoever bought the property doesnt live in the house, and the doors and windows are boarded up now, but the door was pried open last time i went there, so you might have luck getting in..

Please make note of trespassing laws. Just because the owner of the property does not live there does not make it alright to just go in and break into the house or barns.

Ghostvillage STRONGLY discourages trespassing on private property. ALWAYS try to gain permission to investigate a place, and if you cannot, accept it. DO NOT TRESPASS.

I tried to do a search myself on Thunder Bay haunts, and the best I can find is the Thunder Bay Ghost Walk. I've no idea if it still runs or not, but that would be a good place to start learning about Thunder Bay haunts.

I am from Thunder Bay too, what cemeteries in this city are supposed to be haunted? There is an abandoned farmhouse is the O'Connor township. If you go down Hwy 595 you can see it. It has been abandoned for decades and apparently it is known as the old Sitch Homestead.

Whoops, how can I forget....The Prince Arthur Hotel is haunted. There was someone, I think it was one of the cooks who committed suicide in the basement. And the ghost of a well-to-do man who lived there haunts room 203, the people at the hotel call him Ol' Harvey. This was decades ago and he is now deceased. Apparently room 203 is the room that Harvey used to live in. Years later when employees took down photos of Harvey that were in room 203 the room flooded. funny enough, it didn't leak down to the other rooms and it was the only room to have a flood in it. The flooding stopped when the photos were put back up in the room. People have also said that you can smell cigar smoke on the 2nd floor. I took a tour of the place and it does have a smell of cigar smoke which goes away as soon as it comes.
I plan to book that room i the near future. I am always up for ghost hunting....

Here's a few:

Nelsons Road has reports of a Ghost Light.

Floodway, the whole east end has reports of hauntings both outside and in the houses.

The Thunderbay Econolodge has reports, especially in room 216.

Haunted Bridge in Trowbridge Falls Park as well as the park itself.

The Landmark Inn, especially it's loading dock.

I believe that Fort William has reports too, but of course that's a historic site. You could always see if you can make some contacts there.

Ya, I have been down Nelsons Road, it's almost an hour out of town. It's creepy, and I went there in the day. I caught a peach orb in a photo, I have never seen a peach orb, but I can't actually confirm that it is paranormal. Where did you find out about Nelsons Road?

I caught an orb in a photo at Nelson's Road a few years ago. It wasn't peach colored though!

So do you live in Thunder Bay now? It's actually called Nelson road, but it's listed online as Nelsons

Typo, my mistake. I didn't think there was anything online about Nelson road actually.

I live in Texas currently but I travel extensively to investigate the paranormal.
