oh, yes... house of dark shadows.
include with that the ENTIRE series... i'm going broke accumulating the DVD collections... it ensures that halloween happens EVERY DAY!

go barnabas!

OG  ;D

I hear you OwlGoddess! I've been buying them as they come out too and, even with the somewhat lower price I'm getting at Amazon (vs. one of the bookstore chains) I refuse to let myself think much about what the grand total is going to be. Eeeeek! Now THAT'S frightening!  :o

Just a couple or we could be here all night. John Carpenter's The Fog, the first Halloween, and Count Yorga, Vampire. Oh, and the original Evil Dead.

i see some common favorites here!

what does everyone think of the new don coscarelli / bruce campbell horror farce BUBBA HO-TEP?

i mean, does it get better than the creater of phantasm, the star of the evil dead movies, and a portrayal of an old elvis and a black JFK??

Most of mine aren't scary... they just give me a nice cozy Halloween feeling.... especially considering I have kids and they've got me addicted to kids movies. Some of these carried over from my own childhood though.

1. Hocus Pocus
2. The Worst Witch
3. The Little Vampire
4. Monsters Inc.
5. Bram Stoker's Dracula
6. The Halloween that Almost Wasn't (It's an hour long show that hasn't been played on tv in YEARS)
7. Harry Potter! lmao
8. Exorcist (Director's Cut!)
9. Poltergeist
10. Most of the original Halloween cartoons like Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and a Garfiled Halloween (which was hysterical)

And any documetary they play around Halloween about ghosts and vampires. lol. There was one about 15 years ago (if not longer!) that was hosted by George Hamilton, and it covered vampire myth and lore. I had to stay home- a rainy, wet and miserable Halloween that year, and just fell in love with it.
Don't be a newt!

LOL! OwlGoddess!

Bubba Ho-Tep was so bizarre, yet oddly enjoyable!  :P

The Exorcist still gives me chills. It always leaves me with an uneasy feeling.

On the cuddly, warm, and fuzzy Halloween side: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!

Ahhhh, gosh I can't wait for Autumn to get here!

lol i was convinced from the time i was six to the time i was twelve that the great pumpkin was real. i went as the great pumpkin one year. you know what, i think i'll go as the great pumpkin again, instead of bette midler's witch from hocus pocus.
