This paranormal team contains of only three people.. they travel to some of the mst highly- active paranormal locations... They also have the owners lock themselves inside from 6:00pm to 6:00am
(Dusk until dawn). They are very good and get way more activity than TAPS

Or they fabricate a lot more evidence than TAPS :Wall:

I've only seen Ghost Adventures a few times, and the host of the show grates my nerves. I feel like he tries too hard sometimes (as far as getting evidence goes, etc.)

Then again , I may be biased because I watch Ghost Hunters all the time. :headbang:

Got hooked on this when I was poking around the youtubes. I like it better than Ghost Hunters, mainly 'cause I identify better with them.

I have to say that watching shows like Ghost Adventures, and Ghost Hunters, have made me slightly more skeptical than not. As I find so many things about these shows, that could be debunked as fake. Just recently I cannot remember exactly what episode it was, they claimed a "mysterious mist", as the "spirit box" was running. I watched closely to notice Zak had his hand over a light on the box, as he slowly removed his finger/hand from the light, the "mysterious mist" appeared as the light caught dust. They claimed it as paranormal....

I don't know, I need to just not watch these types of shows, they seem to take the flavor out of the paranormal for me.

I find people can't enjoy a program now without pulling it apart. Just enjoy.

Du-u-u-ude, I have to pull it apart; that's just how my brain is wired, WW. It's hard not to analyze the shows when they present themselves as real and authentic, especially when the people on the show say the evidence is this and that, but it doesn't appear that way to the individual viewer. Beyond GA and GH, the worst of them all has to be "My Ghost Story: Caught On Camera". The investigators and witnesses who present their stories are so over-the-top with their beliefs and analyzations of the evidence provided, which in many cases is quite good evidence but is ruined by the presenting person's interpretation of said evidence. I have to change the channel sometimes because it is so bad. Oh, and "The Haunted Collector" is pretty bad overall, but some of the evidence it cool.
Everyone is different, so I guess we will just watch these shows with differing mind-sets. Hell, my wife doesn't like watching movies with me because I critique whatever I perceive isn't correct or unnatural, which is the only right thing to do.
As is it, I enjoy GA, though Zak can be too much to take at times (overly dramatic, prisoner-sympathetic, presents theory as fact, and yes, Zak, slavery was wrong; we know), Nick pulls theories out of his b.u.t.t. and runs with them (second investigation of Linda Vista hospital, for example), and Aaron it good-natured and fun to watch, though a little too dude-ish at times. The evidence can be really good, but it is inter-mixed with rediculous claims and assumptions, tough-guy posturing when in fact they do get freaked out and run (not aimed at Aaron, but the other two), but I will continue to watch, as long as Zak isn't over-doing the dramatics.

So you are saying no REAL ghost hunter would act like that at all? Who gets to decide who is real or not? Who gets to say they are expert in this field?Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Who said anything about how REAL ghost hunters ARE supposed to act? I reflected upon how these individuals DO act. It's my opinion, whether anyone agrees or not. We have no control over what is presented, only how we perceive it. If I think this or that, then that's how I feel.
I stand by what I said.

I like the show, even though I do get annoyed at time when Zak tries to hard to make everything sound like a cold hard fact. I watch this one quite often. I even do a little * hell yeah ! * in my head whenever Jeff`s name is mentioned :D

I do have to say though, that recently, the show has been going a little too creepy creep with the show in terms of re-enactments, for example.. a ghost in a hospital suddenly pops up through a door window and screams... I prefer how they did the show in the earlier season where they got excited to go to new locations and try new equipment, but sadly, it`s all for the ratings most of the time.

it is entertaining though, that is, when Zak isn`t trying too hard to push a case on the viewers.
