About 18 or so years ago, my mom said she had one & explained it to me. Honestly, I'd never disrespect my Mom and try to shoot down her ordeal with the experience, but I'm really on the fence about it.
Either way, great article & thanks for sharing, Ohreally.

Why not Laurie Ann? That exactly IS WHAT NDE is all about right? It is not the explanation that matters, but the experience.~You know, I've read somewhere that for the folks that do believe they had a NDE also had alot to do with their brainwaves & thinking they were having a NDE when actually, they were not.
Great article ohreally? Thanks for sharing.

There has been a lot of interesting work done on this topic at the University of Virginia; amongst other things, they have found that a consistent 18% of people who "die" on the operating table in their cardiology department, and are revived, report a NDE.
Of those reporting the experience, there is a remarkable consistency amongst all of their reports.
Seems that there is something worthy of note in all of this.

Except for the cases recorded in which the brain shows no activity in any of EEG, active MRI and oxygen transport tests.A theory that I had heard was that although in these cases the body is clinically dead, the brain is still active. Hullucinations occur do to lack of oxygen to the brain. Seems fairly sensible to me.
Yet, when the person is revived, they report a NDE.
Read the link; this issue is discussed there.
