I got many of the common phrases here, but one  moment sticks out in my memory as just hilarious.

When I was 15 and my brother was 12, he had done something to annoy/anger my mum.  I was sitting in the living room reading a magazine and he had run upstairs, I had a clear view of the stair case.  My mom went to the bottom of the stairs and yelled up "Get down here you little son of a BAD_WORD!"

I started to laugh.  Mom turned to me, glaring as only a mother can, and demanded to know what I found so funny.  Me:  "You called your own son a son of a BAD_WORD."

My mom stopped being angry...she was laughing to hard.  :D
