My family has had a great many experiences with the paranormal. The women in our family seem to be more in tune with the spirits than the men. I don't know if we are just more open minded or it has to do with woman's intuition. Anyways, getting a little off subject. I apologize. My Grandmother's house and land is haunted by many spirits, but there is one particular spirit that I am looking for information on and I was hoping that maybe some of you could give me some information on it. I don't know that I have ever seen it fully just glimpses out of the corner of my eye, so the description of the spirit is second hand. For lack of a better description my mother and grandmother and uncles say that it looks like cousin it from the Adams Family. My mother also said that it has blue eyes. It is not a vengeful spirit or anything like that. When it pops up in front of you and makes you jump or scream it giggles. I think it likes getting a reaction out of you. It just seems to be a curious spirit. At one time my Aunt did some research and found out that it is a very old type of spirit but I cannot remember what she said and I have not been able to find out any information about it. Thanks so much for all of your help. I will hopefully be filling you all in on more of my family's experiences.
Thanks guys

I believe this spirit is called an "elemental". It is one that is attached to the land or the trees or the animals. It is a very basic spirit. I think it is cute that it has blue eyes and it is definitely playing with you: it enjoys startling you. Itr definitely means you no harm. :)

I am not sure I am a complete believer in the 'elemental' idea, but I did have a quick question. You mentioned that your family states that it looks like 'Cousin It' from Addams Family, AND that it has blue eyes. Cousin It is completely covered from head to toe by hair - in fact he/it is nothing but long, blondish/brown hair - no visible 'parts' whatsoever - is he/it only partially covered? Or, did he/it reveal his/its face at some point? It would be interesting to know what the facial features were like if so. Thank you for sharing your story.

From what my mother has said it is completely covered in hair and you cannot see its facial features. The eyes as far as I can gather where just there. Like on the outside of the hair I guess.

Don't quote me 100% on this: but!

Elementals are created to accomplish a task, be it good or bad, dependant upon your morals? When creating this basic form theory says that you give it a life span, if this is not done then it can develope into good or bad, again dependant upon your morals?

My understanding is that many novices, who dabble, iether forget to give it a life span or forget to 'disolve' it when the task is complete.

Is there a point in time when this 'elemental' first started appearing? and who could have been dabbling at that time?

I learn something new every day! I did a quick Wiki "look up" on elementals, and from what I gathered there, they are much like gnomes. That would explain the "Cousin Itt" look

It first started appearing to my Uncles when they were small. I do not think anyone would have been dabbling. It seems that I am the only one interested in dabbling in anything. I haven't really but I am very interested in pagan and wiccan rituals and beliefs. I would also appreciate any information on either pm me. :) It was seen by my little cousin a couple of weeks ago so it has been around for quite some time.
