here is one I don't know who wrote it..

When I Must Leave You:

When I must Leave you for a  little while-
Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hugyour sorrow to you through the years.
But start out bravely wit ha gallant smile;
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and o all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour in useful ways,
Reach out your hand in cmfort and in cheer,
And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near;
And Never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you in the sky!!! :'(

OMG kats, love that one too, but can't for the life of me think who the author is(if anyone knows please do tell cause it will bother me until i find out) heres one of my favorites in which i also don't know who wrote it but have always loved it

Do not stand at my
grave and weep
I am not there
I do not sleep

I am a thousand
winds that blow
I am the diamond
glints of snow

I am the sunlight
on ripened grain
I am the gentle
autumn rain

do not stand at my
grave and cry
I am not there
I did not die

*note to flying, loved that poem and never heard it before, so sweet*
Either write things worth reading,
Or do things worth the writing.

Those were both really cool poems but I don't know who wrote them either. ???

I decided to post one last poem of my own.
I hope you like it.
I had this one along with Loves Lament Published.

Who's the One for Me?

Who's the one for me?
Who is the one My heart cries out for?
Have I seen her?
Have I heard her voice?

Who's the one for me?
Does she know me?
Have our eyes met?

Who's the one for me?
Have I breathed her perfume?
Have I held her in my glance?

Who's the one for me?
Does she know I love her?
Does she know I always will?

Who's the one for me?
Does she feel the same as I do?
Does she search for me as well?

Who's the one for me?
My soulmate this is certain
she's the one for me,
The Good lord put her out
there but...

Who's the one for me?

Your poems are amazing, very talented and thank you so much for sharing the last one, you don't know how it put me in good spirits after a recent break up, hard and complicated to explain, but thank you ever so much ;D

*Sighs*Having a Lover die is one of the worse things in the world, unspoken/unheard apologies and not being able to tell them you love them one last time. Okay, I'm
depressing myself :'(

Hi, Paranormal_451, its an amazing poem! As usual you hit the rawest of feelings while at the same time being philosophical about it 8)

Hi, Willow and Kats_God, Gorgeous poems, but I got nothing on who the poets are

You're far too gracious, my dear friend, but I can take no credit for the inspiration, that doing was yours and yours alone ;D*snorts and pulls back duster, readying for the coming compliment battle* :-*

Paranormal, no the inspiration was Willow and any and all of you who've posted poems or feedback :)

Companions
The dark and the cold,
they are my nearly forgotten friends.
Once more they stand at my door,
and I welcome them,
too long they have been away.
They take the place of light and warmth,
or the delusions of their existance.
I know that these things are not meant for me.
I had forgotten myself,
and am now reminded.
I had forgotten what was meant for me,
entertained silly dreams,
all in vain.
My comforters have come though,
have not forsaken me as I have tried to do to them.
They are my companions and reminders,
that life is not mine,
but that of the children of the light.
How I hope my child is one of them,
and does not feel the call of the cold
