Well, old Phil (the groundhog) spotted his shadow last week and predicts that we will have another 6 weeks of winter (which is the case here as they are predicting a snow storm this weekend).

But all around me, I hear people talking about how Spring is right around the corner because the Race (Daytona 500) is here.

Or how Spring isn't far off because it happens right after the weekend of the Hunting/Fishing show.

How about.....Spring is coming because the days are getting longer.

So what signals to you that Spring is coming?

Wearing long johns becomes a choice not a necessity while working . ;)

I look forward to putting up my humming-bird feeder again. :-/

I start to plan my ghost and spirit research again for spring and summer.  ;D

36 degrees centigrade already! and April/May to come! This time the mercury has record highs here! never been above 35degrees ever and it is already burning! They say between 10 and 3 we have high UV-B radiations due to ozone depletions.

It's still raining and quite miserable here... in fact  I think I saw snow forecast for just a bit further in land...

I like the rain ;)

The point which I should first wish to understand is whether the pious or holy is beloved by the gods because it is holy, or holy because it is beloved of the gods.

yeah even I love rains, but it is natural exploitaion that has made out situation this worse! Major rivers are drying up, and with a small state we have - just 600 kms in length and 150 kms wide and 44 rivers flowing thru, we boast of LACK OF DRINKING water this time! Just beause I stay in the city (the only major river that is to be "killed" flows thru our city), I dont feel the problems of water scarecity!

I went into the park yesterday... I checked all the trees for buds (only one type was actually budding) and the ducks were pairing off.  The daffodils were up, but only one was out... there are crocuses in the gardens and the snowdrops are going over...

The point which I should first wish to understand is whether the pious or holy is beloved by the gods because it is holy, or holy because it is beloved of the gods.
