A couple weeks a ago I was down Lodi, OH in The Log Cabin shop ( a store that caters to black powder shooters) and much to my surprise there is a box full of old Time-Life books for only $2 each. Amongst them were 4 books from the Mysteries of the Unknown series. I read these back in Junior high, about 100 years ago :P They were a big part of my early interest in the supernatural, and I was excited as all heck to find them.

How many of you out there remember this series? Are your memories as fond as mine are? I'm really going to enjoy re-reading these books. :)

I have the entire set, bought them about 100 years ago when they first came out :) Actually was a well done series, still makes good reading even if the later cases are not in them.

When I was living in Canada, the public library had this Time-Life series also. I didn't check yet but I wonder if Time Life ever transferred these books and make them available online.

Whatever

Don't know if they'd be available for download though.

Right know I'm reading Mysterious Creatures! Awesome!

I bought that series when it first came out. I remember the magazine ad showed 10 volumes in the set. I figured I could afford to get 10 volumes (one every 6 weeks). When I received volume 10 several months later, I thought the set was complete. Little did I know there were 33 (!) volumes in the set!!! I probably would not have dove in like I did had I known there were that many volumes. But I stuck with it and got them all. I'm glad I did buy them. It's a great set.
