I agree White Witch. When Grant left GH it went down hill I think Ive watched one of the programs then stoped. the music they play, the way they read their finding and all just does not feel right. As for GA I find them eaiser to watch, they have their crazy side but all in all they seem to do much better then GH. I know too Jeff B. has been called/ and on the show a few times. They look to him sometimes for information.

I agree, Cathy. I don't know if you have noticed, but GH is now mirroring some of the techniques and style of GA. GH now shows minor portrayed scenes of the intities in question during the interview/tour portion of the investigation. GH will still capture some really good evidence, though.
I absolutely enjoy GA, but they still annoy me with how quickly they will label something, such as being demonic or whatever. Also, I believe Jeff B. has a higher level of involvement with GA as his name is always in the credits, I believe as a researcher.

I think Jason has let it all go to his head. Just a feeling I get if I catch the program on tv. It's like GH knows all and everyone else isn't doing it right. It's too bad. I could watch GA all weekend and enjoy every second. There have been times, on programs lately, that I have watched where they will say it isn't paranormal. I don't think they are as fast to label everything paranormal now. I wish Zak would wear pants that fit. LOL Had to add that. LOL

Agreed about GH, WW. And you're right about GA debunking evidence as paranormal lately. And you're right about Zak's pants. Though I haven't seen him do it in a while, he used to wear a different badly-fitting hat at times at the end of each of the shows where they would go over the evidence with an outside party. He has no hat style.

While watching one of the paranormal programs I'm seeing a figure in the corner of the room that the investigators don't see. I also hear voices other than those that they hear. Does anyone else have this happen to them?

I have seen stuff like that before, wondering why the investigators didn't pick up on what I saw. My oldest son has also spotted things on different shows that supposedly wasn't caught.
GA often shows a brief clip asking if viewers spot anything that GAC may have missed.

I had my Thanksgiving holiday in October. Glad to know other people also have this happen.

I even remember one time watching "Most Haunted" with my wife. There was a quick pan of the camera, but as it did there appeared to be a face at the top of an archway that seem to suck away toward the end of the pan. We would slo-mo the scene and there was something, but the investigators never picked up on it.

It doesn't account for ALL of the extra things viewers pick up on, but I do know that the issue of "missed evidence" has been brought up a couple of times on the TAPS message boards, and in each case it turned out that the voice or the apparition, shadow or otherwise, was simply a member of the production crew, even when the area was supposed to be clear, lol.

I think it was Ghost Hunters that had the "Button" on one of the live Halloween specials...where viewers could alert the team if they saw or heard something. So many people were pushing the button over false positives, especially dust orbs, and there were even a few who admitted to pushing it for the fun of it...that they quickly nixed that concept and never again took viewer analysis seriously. It's sad, because in this field we do encourage peer review and even the most seasoned teams can miss things sometimes. What's even sadder is that I know on some shows, any "evidence" does not really belong to that team, but rather, the actual show, so some of it can't be released for peer review.

I remember that button concept, Theresa. Anything like that will attrack the a-holes along with the spazzes that see a ghost behind every chair. I wish it could have worked. I think Ghost Adventures had a e-mail/text thing on one of their Halloween investigations that I think worked rather well. But yes, crews, investigators, or whomever seem to be a potential problem for false evidence. Then again, the crew on GH has sometimes either backed up potential evidence or has had something happen to them that was captured on film, like the camera bag that was thrusted up into the face of that sound guy in that one episode. Mainly the cameraman is never in a position to capture a really important paranormal moment the investigators are experiencing, which is aggravating. And you stated how sad the false button-pushing was because of your encouragement of peer review: I couldn't agree more. I believe in total honesty in this field, and false reporting is a distraction and discouraging, even if it is done with the best intentions, as in misidentification.
On the Bio Channel show "My Ghost Story", a lot of really good or interesting filmed and recorded evidence is presented, but most of the people involved in those stories fit into the "ghost behind every chair" category. Sometimes it is difficult to watch the show because of all of the random claims stated as fact: spirit ords, evil entities, and such. I even watched one story where the claim was that spirit orbs were caught on video. They were swooping down toward the floor and then swooping back up. They didn't take into account the ceiling fan that was running in the same scene. But these people were so serious about those orbs being spirit orbs. Man, I wanted to bang my head on a table. And the evidence is presented by experienced investigators along with non-investigator-type regular people. There ARE several episodes where the evidence is presented matter-of-factly as "this is what we found; you be the judge", which is what I appreciate.
