As a followup to my gripes about windoz, 98 being full of bugs, and XP not playing many of my old 98 games.
I have installed a Trios adapter, by Romtech, and I'm in love again................This devise allows me to choose tween windoz 98 and windoz XP on the same machine. If I decide to play with Redhat I can add that too! Basically 2 hard drives=2 different operating systens that you can choose tween by pushing a button. 3 hard drives= 3 operating systems all boot reliably-I love it!

I highly recommend this devise...

Hmmmm, I too have been having a problem with Windows 98 playing my old games. 7th Guest and 11th Hour to name a few.
We were going to upgrade to XP, but have not been able to as of yet.
But I wanted to ask you this...why run both? Why not just go with the XP?

Hi Spooky!
Many of the games, including dos based ones, won't work under XP. Some USB hardware won't work under XP either. Since I can boot with either XP, or 98, I can still use my old games and hardware.
I also have some old, great DOS games. I might just add a small used hard drive so I can use dos and windoz 3.11 as well. :
Seems to work really, really well.

We did the same thing back in the stone age when Win 95 came out, I liked 3.1 better so my ex used one system and I the other....
