Life is too short to take seriously, none of us get out of it alive.

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be.Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Merry christmas and a happy new year
On a little side note as a child we would spend Christmas eve on my Grandparents farm and when it was dark and if it was not cloudy my grandfather would take us kids outside and we would look at the stars. He would point out a moving satalite and say in an excited voice that it was Father Christmas traveling across the sky far away and we all believed him, it was a magical time.
I am 46yrs old now and my grandfather has sadly passed away, but every Christmas eve I look to the skys, not for a distant satalite, but for Father Christmas and the magic of being a child again.
Thank you grandad for giving me the spirit of christmas... I still believe.

WW, that picture was taken at my 30 high school reunion in 2012. The dj/classmate had all of these accessories to play around with, so I brought out the showgirl in me. My wife suspects worse lies underneath. And thank you for that kind well-wish. I hope it was the same for you and yours.

soulrunner, that's a beautiful family memory. You were a lucky child.

Happy New Year to you as well, WW. Yes, she has braved much of my shenanigans, but has also been an accomplice in many others, so don't feel for her so much.
You can veiw her postings through my page. She's the one who keeps claiming that she's not my wife or that she was drunk when she said "I do", among other excuses.
