Personally, the only thing scary about Valentine's is the cost of going out Posted Image!

Movie and a dinner. There. Valentine's is set.

We decided we are staying in, so I'm going to set our table as if royalty were coming to visit. Over the top - with candelabras and silver and china and all the rest. I think he is going to grill steaks, so I'll make the sides. A little wine, a little chocolate. And NO CROWDS! :)

Valentine's Day is scary.

Why?

Shawn, what are you doing for your better half (lol) on the 14th?

That's the problem, I don't know yet! And it's scary because if I mess it up, I'll be sleeping on the couch for a long time!

Hey Shawn, 'sup? We're doing the movie and dinner as well. It's a simple Valentine's because next month we're going to Hong Kong Disney so we have to conserve some of our financial resources lol.

Hopefully, Mrs. Shawn will like whatever it is you will end up doing. If not, get the sleeping bag ready and the couch tidied up lol.

Autumnbelle, that's fancy for just the two of you. I can imagine you and the mister dressed up like King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. NIce!

Whatever

Well - probably not THAT fancy, but I like that you are picture us that way. Maybe more like George & Martha Washington. :)

Shawn ---- foot massages are always nice. Hot bubble baths. A heartfelt card where you write something, not just sign your name.

Shawn, if you do go with the foot massages as Autumnbelle suggested, let a real massage technician (LOL) do it. Don't do it yourself because you really might find yourself sleeping on that couch until next Valentine's!

I am the foot massage master! But, I did ok. Got roses and balloons and made her favorite breakfast (Chocolate chip pancakes.) Then did the dinner and movie thing. Red Lobster and Robocop. Because nothing says romance like cyborg policemen.

How was Robocop, Shawn? I liked the originals, and this looks like a decent reboot.

Overall, I liked it, but not as much as the original. I kind of went into it expecting it to be that way, though. It's better than most remakes. I liked the cast and the acting. Hated the updated black suit that looked more like superhero armor than a cyborg. I missed the satirical humor and violence level of the original.
