Some recent articles.

Pacific leaders say climate will claim entire nations
Pacific leaders warned Thursday that entire island nations will disappear under the waves unless action is taken to address climate change.
The Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) wrapped up its annual meeting in Palau with a call to action on the issue of global warming, with the 15-nation regional grouping saying there was no excuse not to act to curb climate change.
"We all know the causes of climate change, we know the solutions," Samoa Prime Minister Sailele Malielegaoi told reporters after releasing a communique from the three-day meeting.
"All that is left is decisive action from leaders with the courage to do what needs to be done to save the world."
Malielegaoi said Pacific island nations, some of which are barely one metre (three foot) above sea level, were at the forefront of the climate change issue because it was a matter of survival for them.

Data confirms climate extremes are here to stay
In a paper published online today in the journal Scientific Reports, published by Nature, Northeastern researchers Evan Kodra and Auroop Ganguly found that while global temperature is indeed increasing, so too is the variability in temperature extremes. For instance, while each year's average hottest and coldest temperatures will likely rise, those averages will also tend to fall within a wider range of potential high and low temperate extremes than are currently being observed. This means that even as overall temperatures rise, we may still continue to experience extreme cold snaps, said Kodra.

Climate change will make some tropical regions wetter – then dry them out
Some parts of South America are projected to get wetter this century due to climate change, but then dry out again after 2100 as patterns of rainfall shift southwards – according to research involving the University of East Anglia

Antarctic ice sheet is result of CO2 decrease, not continental breakup
Climate modelers from the University of New Hampshire have shown that the most likely explanation for the initiation of Antarctic glaciation during a major climate shift 34 million years ago was decreased carbon dioxide (CO2) levels. The finding counters a 40-year-old theory suggesting massive rearrangements of Earth's continents caused global cooling and the abrupt formation of the Antarctic ice sheet. It will provide scientists insight into the climate change implications of current rising global CO2 levels.

Wildfires and other burns play bigger role in climate change, professor finds
It has long been known that biomass burning – burning forests to create agricultural lands, burning savannah as a ritual , slash-and-burn agriculture and wildfires – figures into both climate change and public health.
But until the release of a new study by Stanford University Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor Mark Z. Jacobson, the degree of that contribution had never been comprehensively quantified.

Jacobson's research, detailed in a paper published July 30 in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, is based on a three-dimensional computer model simulation of the impacts of biomass burning. His findings indicate that burning biomass is playing a much bigger role in climate change and human health issues than previously thought.

Something else.

Australia drying caused by greenhouse gases and ozone Jul 13, 2014

NOAA scientists have developed a new high-resolution climate model that shows southwestern Australia's long-term decline in fall and winter rainfall is caused by increases in manmade greenhouse gas emissions and ozone depletion, according to research published today in Nature Geoscience.

"This new high-resolution climate model is able to simulate regional-scale precipitation with considerably improved accuracy compared to previous generation models," said Tom Delworth, a research scientist at NOAA's Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory in Princeton, N.J., who helped develop the new model and is co-author of the paper. "This model is a major step forward in our effort to improve the prediction of regional climate change, particularly involving water resources."

Oh, BTW, CO2 levels do not control the weather. Weather controls the CO2 Levels. But there is a bit of a lag.... about 800 years.

It's all about Solar Storms vs. Cosmic Rays.

Less Solar Storms = More Cosmic Rays

Cosmic Rays interact with moisture in the upper atmosphere to create clouds.

More Cosmic Rays = More Cloud Cover

More Cloud Cover = Lower Temps

And the Sun has gone to sleep so invest in long johns...... LOL!

How come it is.......

We can experience one or two days of a summer heat wave and the news reports are showing baking desert sun, cracked earth, and drought scenes.    But when one examines the records, with several polar vortex events present, and average monthly temperatures going back 16 months, and they are at or slightly below "normal", nobody mentions the threat of global cooling?????  (couldn't have anything to do with getting ratings for TV news networks, or keeping certain people in power..... no way......)

Or might it be that this is just the normal condition.... A few years of warmer followed by some cooling.  Might this simply be the engine that drives diversification in life?    Some species become prevelent, then their time passes and others take their place as climate shifts.  Consider, if nothing ever changed, the species most suited to a particular cliamte might well become the only one in that location.  But instead constant change causes constant change in environment leading to diversification.  Thus climate change is not a human caused problem, insted it is nature behaving normally.  We simply need to learn to adapt and quit worrying about it.

The most important issue here is the way “The Great Global Warming Scam” has totally corrupted science in ways that extend far beyond this scam, and have had a profound impact on our society in general.

Prior to this scam, scientists in general kept their politics and science separate; and in general it could be said that scientists had higher than average ethical standards. Mostly, if a scientist said something, it was considered reasonable to pay attention. They may eventually be shown to have been wrong, but nobody questioned their motivation in saying it.

However, this all changed when the “climate science” scam took hold. Now a whole generation of scientists have come off the production line who have been indoctrinated to believe that it is acceptable to lie and cheat in science. They believe falsification of data is acceptable if they think they are doing it for a worthy cause. In other words, scientific ethics have been abandoned to politics.

This abandonment of ethics is not limited to “climate science”, and is now all pervasive throughout all of science. Consequently, now when a scientist says something, the first question is not one about the science; the first question is about the motivation behind it.

An illustration of this is the current Ebola “crisis”. Is it really a crisis? Or is it just another scam by a bunch of scientists trying to justify their snouts in the gravy train? Forty years ago the question would not even have been asked.

For society, this abandonment of ethics in favor of politics has had a very profound impact. The general public no longer differentiates between junk science and “real science”. How can they? If it is now accepted practice for scientists lie for personal gain, how is the public going to know which scientist is lying, and which one is telling the truth? What is the difference between a scientist and any other snake oil salesman?

So here we have a situation in which a handful of obscure fraudsters in a backwater area of science initiated a scam to fraudulently get some grant money, and in the process provided the catalyst to totally destroy the credibility of science in general.
