ok...i haven't had anything happen in quite some time now....until tonight. two things took place. as i was watching GHOST HUNTERS on SCI-FI..i notice the bedroom door that i keep shut was 1/2 way open. alittle while after that i happened to look out the front window and noticed an image sitting on the walk way across from me. it looked liked a reflection in the window at first...like something from the hallway glaring on to the window. as i sat there looking at it at a certain angle i could make out an image of a figure sitting with its arms and legs crossed. i don't think it was just a reflection. it looked kind of like a little boy wearing shorts and a t-shirt. it was pretty eery.

wow, well, there seems to be a good deal of ideas and thoughts going on in reguards to this, and I do not want to be repetitive, but . . .
From what I have heard the odor that preceeds such hauntings and spirit incidences is usually attributed to : Poltergeist Phenomenon (I know somebody already said that ;) )
or A darker or evil presence. (said that too)

One thing that is not touched upon is that throughout the ages, people have used noxious odor to repel unwanted spirits. Perhaps if there is a spirit attached to this home or this area he is viewing someone on the premises as the "unwanted " guest for one reason or another. If you said how long that you have lived here, I am sorry, I didn't catch that - but I have got to wondering if perhaps whatever spirit this may be is feeling invaded in one way or another? Is there someone or something new in the household? Has there been any construction or alteration in the home? Just a couple of things to consider

Also, here is something that may help:

St. John's Wort
"The generic name is derived from the Greek Hypericum, 'over an apparition' which refers to the fact that the plant has been closely associated with magical properties. When the oil glands of the plant are crushed they release a balsamic odor similar to incense. Supposedly, this smell from the herb was so unpleasant to evil spirits that one whiff of it would purify the air and cause the evil spirits to disappear. In past times people who suffered from possession of evil spirits, mental illness, and melancholy sniffed the juice to drive out their evil spirits. It was used in medieval exorcisms to protect the soul, and the flowers burned to cleanse the community of ill will. It was considered by some church leaders to be an herb of fairies and the perfume of God. Many carried St. John's Wort with them when out walking at night since no demon would be able to approach them while holding this flower. St. John's Wort was hung over house and church doors to protect them from negative influences, thunder, lightning, fire and witches."

Perhaps a vase of this flower would be worth putting in your home. I grow it and know that it is just about to bloom. I am not sure whether this would be the case in your area. I think your best bet though, is to try communication with whatever this may be.

Good Luck With This

Take Care,

Audryna

I dont know if this is of any interest but after reading your link i remember something i read about a few years ago in one of my long lost paranormal books. It said that alot of ghost encounters and apparitions usually happen around damp areas or are most of the time connected to a water source or something like that, sort of like the way water conducts electricity, it helps convey the ghost or apparition more................or somewhere along those lines. I wish i could find half my books i had from years ago i could explain it more.

If i were you kats as a little experiment, i would take some pics of the bathroom and maybe ask a few questions while you have a tape recorder going. Could be interesting.

That's where I had my one encounter with a ghost! In the bathroom! You should try and find out more about that water theory Mr. Grey!

Remember Kats, the more open you make yourself the more you will experience. In other words... yeah, I'd leave a light on.
