ok...this just took place about a half hour ago. i was in the shower and i started to smell this odd sent. it was kinda like meat that has been sitting out for days. i stated washing my face, i had my eyes closed as i was doing this. while i was doing this i could feel somebody looking in the shower at me. sometimes when i rub my eyes everything goes black for a few seconds...this happened here. as i stated to regain my sight i was facing where i thought somebody where. i could see the shape of a head looking at me but when i got my sight back nothing was there and the smell was gone. i wasn't scared, just alittle uneasy. what do you think?

Kats a huge chill went right up my spine when i read that  To be in the shower you can feel a bit exposed and that would totally freak me out if i saw that in the shower. I cant remember if you've said you've seen a ghost before (probably have) but do the whole eyes going black happen when ever you feel a presence(sp?) around?

This is the same sense of vulnerability that Alfred Hitchcock exploited in "Psycho," and I'm telling you it's sending chills up my spine, as well! It would be easy to dismiss this as the mind playing tricks because of the water in the shower, but I've never, ever smelled rotting meat while showering . . .

Of course, all the usual questions apply here: Is there any history of violent death in or near the house, and has there been any paranormal activity prior to this incident?

Smells of rotting meat, or especially the smell of poop, are the signs of evil spirits in the area.......

Since you are probably familiar with it, I would suggest performing the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram in your home.

MOONCHILD pointed something out. i had an older post about my old apartment. the thread was called GHOST IN MY HOME...it too had something to do with the shower. that took place in kentucky and now this one is in michigan. MOON was thinking that maybe the ghost could have followed me. what do you think. <_<

Our new house has a similar experience, but in our case the bathroom use to be the back staircase and I think the spirits still use it. In these old houses it's hard to find a room small enough to convert into a bathroom. Unfortunately we also have those darn semi-see through shower doors, so you can see things moving outside the shower. I get VERY parinoid in the shower.

kats_god:

Yes that is entirely possible. If the entity was attracted to you in some way, it very well may have made the move with you. If you are unfamiliar with the LBRP, go to your local bookstore and look up "11 Lessons in High Magick" by Donald M. Kraig.

If you need to, email me with any questions.

Of course your ghost could be attached to something that you own. It could also be attached to a member of the family. I would try and get as much evidence as possible including some evp. You may find some answers there.

ok...this just happened about 10 minutes ago. i was laying on the couch watching tv. that strong sent of old meat was around the couch. and only the couch. i got up to check and that was it, nowhere else. :o after a few minutes off looking for the smell it seemed like it started following me. it wasn't at the couch anymore wherever i would go it would be right behind me and nowhere else. it seemed to disappear as i sat down to do this.
