Well said, Fly!

I feel the same about New Orleans myself, I'm planning on going next year anyway, but am likewise curious about the Reformatory and will eventually get there

I voted Ohio. It's close to my ancestral home, it's not as touristy as New Orleans (read cheaper air fair / hotel accomedation), and would be easier to explain to my family.

I'd go either place, though.

I didn't lose my mind - I have it backed up on a disk ... somewhere

I voted for NEW ORLEANS..... For several reasons.......... Mostly because I feel it has a lot more to offer in the way of investigations. Second, the whole place is full of Voodoo and I know a local high priestess there I met through the net and she would more than likely let everyone come to one of their shindigs. Another thing, is it is closer to me hehe.

However, all this being good and great, I will have to see how things are with my job etc before I could commit to going anywhere. I hate being a contractor.

Oh! I see someone voted OTHER! Great, but post and tell us where you want it to be and a bit about the location.

If you just vote "other" and don't post the location you want, then it serves nothing.

Mansfield and New Orleans are not set in stone. It is possible that another location could get enough votes to be the site of the 2005 GV Rally, but you have to tell us about it. ;)

Just a few miles south east I think.

While New Orleans does have lots of haunts to offer, I had to vote Ohio...even if I dont get to make the GV Rally, I'm sure to tour both places sometime soon anyways but think Mansfield would be an ideal place

Maybe we could do a Pacific Convention in the future - say in Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island or even near Morgan's Corner in Waikiki.

I didn't lose my mind - I have it backed up on a disk ... somewhere
