The kid is upset because he wants to nurse and the corpse is not lactating. That's all.

:D

Relax.

Well, like I said, if you agree with this kind of behavior (especially as a parent) then I don't know what to say......only that unfortunately it's your right.

It would make me wonder why? Why would you think that something like would be humorous?? And, I agree with Moon, if they will do this, what else could they be subjecting this child to? I have no idea, it just makes one wonder.......????

I personally think that, though this is not a very nice thing, it's not likely to do such major harm as some here seem to think...my parents used to scare me with a gory Halloween mask all the time as a little kid hardly older than that, and though I did hate it and still think it was a dumb( as in pointless) and rather inconsiderate thing to do, I'm not really 'damaged' by it to the point of needing therapy. I'm just a person who knows from experience it's not very nice to scare little kids, but that not everything that scares you as a little kid leads to lifelong torment.

For me its funny just to say its funny. Its like I now know what irks you. LOL.

Seriously, if I saw someone sitting a kid on a corpse I would probably cut their hands off. That thing must stink. Think about it. That thing is practically mummified. Where did they get a corpse that old?

It's a fake, you can buy them at places that sell special effects stuff for theatrical productions and movies and such. I've even seen that website where you buy them, I'd post the URL but I don't have it handy.

I think it's scary that a parent would bother to put their child at risk like that for no reason, simply because no one is around the child in case it falls... just not the best form of parenting I'd say

For all of you who think this is abuse, why don't you quit your moaning and alert the authorities? That would be helping the child a lot better than sitting back and doing nothing, but I doubt anyone has the courage to do that. But you know what? The person who took that photo and is selling the pearls is getting exactly the response s/he hoped for, so you all are playing right into his/her hands. S/he will probably get a good price for those pearls. This is a very clever marketing strategy.

you are absolutely RIGHT with that. but the problem is - WHO HAVE TIME? and INCLINATION? Would I be interested in taking care of my own affairs? or someone else's? My concern is the social behaviour - the marketting ploy. But I still do have vague memories of my childhood "fears" and it was only God's blessing that I could consiously overcome it when I started to think on my own. It is not a single problem - it is a marketting consumer world. There ain't no escape!

I found the link to the actual site, they actually have a few pictures of kids with the corpses. That picture on the ebay auction actually came from this site. Here is the link:

I don't think that I have read 1 post that says anything about abuse. It is because of ideas such as this, beginning with the smallest of things, that has brought this society to where it is today. Its no wonder that our children turn out the way that they do because we are so "accepting" of ANYTHING, regardless of what it is. Slowly through time this society has lost all of its moral content & just as importantly its desire to be passionate about love & life & how important all of those things are to us as human beings. Life means NOTHING anymore. So, anyone that thinks that this type of thing is "ok" regardless of the reason, is the reason why we are looking at this kind of an image to begin with. Ya know, I feel sorry for this child & any children that have to grow up in this world today, because the lap that that baby is sitting in is the lap of most people now days......

Life is precious........regardless.

In my opinion, that picture is sick! I remember as a child my grandfather popped his false teeth out at me and I freaked! It scared the bejesus out of me and I still remember it to this day. I could only imagine what It would be like if they sat me on a corpses' lap! People think that children don't recollect things like that....but they definitely do! :)
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.Posted Image

I'm not saying that I agree with picture being right, but out of curiousity would some of ya'll think differently if the baby had a smile on their face? I agree that if the child is sitting there screaming because they are scared then they shouldn't have taken the picture.
