Has anyone ever had an astral projection? I've heard of them and have been told a story from a friend who has expirianced one, also a friend from our families has them all the time. I would like to learn how they are done.... I know that everyone does them BUT i would like to be able to remember. So if you have ANY information it would be appreciated. Thanks alot!

Any of these links would be good starting points for information. Like anything else, study study study before attempting. That's my motto anyway.

I've heard of it but never have done or experienced it myself, here's a couple links you might find interesting on astral projection

Surprise, Olivia, you are already doing it. You do it every night as you sleep. Everybody does it. But a good way to learn to do it when you're awake is to learn first how to meditate. When you can learn to relax your body, your astral form is more likely to take off.

Why don't you check out this site as it is a really good site for Astral Traveling and having OBE's, Although I do not believe in OBE's.

I have astral pro. many times. It only seems to happen for me when I am extremly tired and try to pull myself up out of my slumber.
Or when I am experiencing some stress.
The summer my mum died i managed to travel to her grave the day of the funeral.
Another time that summer I managed to travel out of the house to the driveway and then up into the sky above a tree.
I was in bed trying to sleep on a really hot and humid night.
I could hear the sound of something crying at first I thought it was a baby and then it sounded like some kind of animal.
I thought I was still awake but then I realized i was asleep,I could still hear noises around the house but I couldn't pull out of the sleep.
Then I just kind of went with the feeling and I started to travel towards the noise.
I ended up in the evening sky above a tall tree in my yard and there was a little orange kitten there.
A few min. later I was back in bed awake and I could still hear the animal.
The next day when i woke up I decided to go look at the tree and to my suprise there was a little orange kitten up there.
It took me a week to get him in the house and he became my pet.
I know i can travel i just have a hard time doing it without the right conditions.

I have a question for Sinestro how can you beleive in astral pro. and not OBE ?
You can't astral pro. without leaving your body in my opinion.

I agree bardo.....since the only real difference between OBE and astral projection is that generally astral projection is a concious leaving of your body and OBE is something that occurs sponaniously. In general of course.

Here is a link I found a couple of monyhs ago: Astral Projection and Out-Of-Body Experiences

I have not astral projected, well as far as I know. I do suffer from sleep paralysis which is somtimes linked to Astral Projection.

I can control the sleep paralysis now and often use it durring meditation to shut down my body leaving the mind open. I cant do this all the time because it takes awhile to get into it and out of it so I need about 3-4 hours for it to be effective. With a 3 1/2 year old in the house 3-4 is not an option :D I am able to see my surroundings when I do this so any movment is noticed but my body stays still which means "I can see my son rushing at me but I am unable to stop him as he pushes me over. " which has happened.

Well, Olivia, as i said, you automatically travel astrally when you sleep. Do you ever have dreams where you're flying? That's you, travelling astrally. And when you're sleeping, do you ever jerk awake, or find yourself falling from a high place and then awaken with a jerk? That's you also, returning to your body, but not very smoothly.
