The incident at the Red Robin they knew about it, they just didn't do a very good job finding the severed digit. That one happened on site at the restraunt, so there's no real excuse for not finding the finger. I don't care if you have to dump all the food in the area, you get that finger found. The bad publicity from that no doubt cost them more money in business than throwing away a little food would have. The Wendy's thing aparently happened at a seperate factory where they just make the chili. I'm sure the person who lost their finger was well aware of what happened to them, and probably even told their supervisor (I say probably because some people are so dumb they'd probably worry about losing their job if they mentioned they just severed part of their anatomy). Again, someone probably figured it wasn't worth it to just dump that batch of chili.

I take it, you don;t know about the mouse in the bottle legend? Supposedly the mice enter the bottling area where they fall into vats of said beverage, Coke, beer, wine, etc. The machine that fills the bottles shoots the remains of the critters into the said bottle. Axman - I heard it was a dead rat, but no matter. It is quite sickening either way.

  • Interests:Ghost hunting of course! Motorcycles is a big interest of mine. I also am a guitar player (hence my username) but I haven't practiced much over the last year or two. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and family when possible.

It makes a funny movie though. Recall "Strange Brew" starring Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas (not the Wendy's founder). The McKensie brothers try to get free beer at the fictional Elsinore Brewery by putting a mouse in a beer bottle.
Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that.
