The reason you see so much for the Detroit area, is that is where the greatest concentration of Ghost hunters seem to be, and alot of large groups are located there.
I myself have been searching for people to go Ghost hunting, with my friend and I, but I dont know where to find anyone in this area. I am probably not too far from you, as I live near Flint.
I say go on out to your cemeteries, and old historical buildings, and start taking some pictures, you might be suprised what you find. It may not be haunted persay, but you will get some great pictures!
Let me know if you are close to me, and we can get in touch.

It would be nice to go on a local (not Detroit where our group is) hunt with someone else for a change. I usually go alone right now. I live in Saginaw. If anyone (21 or older) from the Flint/Saginaw area is interested either IM me, or email to email@example.com. If you want to get a feel for the work I do, check out www.phantomsinthedark.com serious ghosthunters only please. ;D

first is linwood beach/saginaw bay. i have friends and family that have lived there for many years and seen some awfully strange things ie....glowing lights in the shape of people floating toward the sky, images of unknown people in several homes, one of them has actually has things happen in the house such as a telescope being dismantled overnight. at one time the railroad went thru that area and what i have heard is that there was a horrible accident late 1800's early 1900's. also it is said that several boats have sunk in that area. if you ever go boating on the bay you can also see lights coming from nowhere and going away.
you may also want to check out the montague inn, in saginaw. when you go up to the third floor many times you can feel something very spiritual, also have heard stoies of spirits in the innkeepers quarters.
lastly, zhenders in frankenmuth. i have known several people who have worked there and seen emily zhender(i think that was her name)in the kitchen, things dropping etc...also i heard, but have not seen that you can see emily on the second floor looking out the front windows.
let me know if you check any of these out.
