You've all been very supportive of my first book, The World's Most Haunted Places, and of Ghostvillage.com. I hope you'll continue to support me and my work and consider purchasing this one as well. I look forward to having an open discussion with you about the book in these message boards.

Hi Jeff,
I just got your book a day ago, so give me about a week and I'll have it mastered. I noticed in the cover that there were two books listed "World's most haunted places"....I have that one, but what about the other "Encyclopedia of Haunted Places?" Is that one already published as well, or is that the other one that you are hoping to have out in August from all of our paranormal accounts? I was just puzzled on that. Looks good what you have written so far, but I'll let you know in about a week. Thanks, Julie

Julie,

Thanks for picking up the new book, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. The Encyclopedia of Haunted Places comes out in August. I'll certainly keep you informed as we get closer.

Thanks Jeff,
that's waht suspect about the Encyclopedia book. You're other book Most Haunted had some great stories in it as well with facts to back them up. I was very intrguied that you know Peter James. In physics I think he tops them all. I think he should be more renouned than John Edwards or Sylvia Brown. I love to watch that man work, he's always right on the money...........Julie

I'm in the process of reading it now... I like the fact that it starts off with 24 pages dedicated to talking boards... In many of the books I've read, most authors tend to tip-tow around such boards. Its nice to see it get a chapter to itself.

I must say looking at the "Contents" page, I am a little suprised that Automatic Writing is discussed last.

Hi Jeff,
Can I ask why you included the subject of talking boards? Just in our experience we try to stay away from these boards because of demonic possibilities. Yes I do believe that it is a widely used tool, but most ghost hunters will prefer not to use them. Most places will also ban the use of bringing in a OUIJA board....Mansfield reformatory for an example. Like I said I understand it is a widely used tool, but it is something that we don't promote. It is upsetting that you can purchase the board in a store such as toys r us....these boards are not games and I think that they should come with warning labels on them.....Julie

Julie,

I feel very strongly that there is nothing inherently evil about cardboard and plastic (the actual boards). I also get upset when people cite works of fiction (like the movie The Exorcist) as the reason one shouldn't use a Ouija board. This device/practice has a long history full of many mysteries, rumors, lore, and results.

If one wants to be against the use of the boards (or channeling for that matter), that's okay, but I thought a good dive into Ouija's true history and lore was well overdue. I would never tell someone to use the boards or not use the boards, but I do hope my chapter on the subject will help people make an informed decision on whether the practice is right for them.

Mike,

The order of the chapters wasn't meant to dictate the order of importance or relevance. That's just how things worked out as the book came together. :)

Of all the chapters, the "mirror gazing" has got me on Jeff, I am happy to say the book is well researched and well put. Good work.

Hi Jeff,

Is there any way I can get my hands on a copy of this book? Do you know of it being for sale on the australian market or can i have you send me one? I can pay for shipping.. When cathy sent me a book over from USA i think it cost her around $4 somthing, customs made a mess of the envelope lol..so it was a bit defaced...but i think it was fairly cheap mailing via ship (as long as it doesnt sink! ) lol..

Let me know what to do, I'd love a copy , Kats_god scanned the page that features my pic.... But i would still love the book itself :)

Please let me know what you think
