  • Interests:Ghost hunting of course! Motorcycles is a big interest of mine. I also am a guitar player (hence my username) but I haven't practiced much over the last year or two. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and family when possible.

Another good all purpose cleaner is club soda. It makes a good spotter for carpet stains and upholstery as well as a stain remover for clothing.
Ah. Well... I attended Juilliard... I'm a graduate of the Harvard business school. I travel quite extensively. I lived through the Black Plague and had a pretty good time during that. I've seen the EXORCIST ABOUT A HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SEVEN TIMES, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT... NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU'RE TALKING TO A DEAD GUY... Alright - every home needs baking soda, club soda, vinegar, lemons, and WD-40.
The reason that a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail and not his tongue.Do unto others, then run.Life's messy. Clean it up.

Kinda reminds me of my younger days . . . I was dating two girls at the same time, and since they both wore different perfume, I'd put a little WD-40 on my hands and rub them on the face if I couldn't wash up in between "dates."

Of course, I'd smell like WD-40, but that's a lot better than smelling some other woman's perfume!!!

I can see it now: angelinayorke's BF will have a flat tire on the way to her house tonight, some Good Samaritan will help him out by spraying WD-40 on the lugs and as soon the poor BF walks in the door {whammo!} . . . angelinayorke sends him "down for the count." :)

BTW - gasoline works good for removing "tattletale" fragrances if you don't have any WD-40 . . .

I'm not sure I could do that...he does work for an auto parts company, so it would be hard to tell...

Can I use WD~40 as a replacement for lighter fluid?!

Kind of reminds me of a story my dad used to tell about one of his highschool chums who was about to get caught by the cops for some underage partying. The only thing he could find in a hurry was Aqua Velva aftershave, so, frantic to avoid detection, he drank the whole bottle of it to cover his breath...Apparently it worked, though it can't have been too tasty or healthful!

Yes, angelinayorke, please be easy on the poor guy if he drops by smellling of petroleum distillates! I have to confess that I was a rake and scoundrel in my younger days, so don't paint your BF with the same broad brush as me :) I've slowed down a lot in the last thirty years :P and besides that, my present GF is a shamanic practicioner. All she has to do is read my aura to know if I've been up to mischief . . . and WD-40 doesn't work on your aura :P

As for using WD-40 in place of lighter fluid, I'd have to say "no." It's flammable, but you'd never get it to light with a standard flint from your average Zippo.

Hmmm . . . I wonder if WD-40 would freshen your breath? The inventors are very tight lipped about the ingredients, but they claim there is nothing harmful in it.

Yeah I'll be nice to him. He comes home smelling like all kinds of chemicals and oils and grease. Besides, he can barely handle me I don't think he has the time or energy (or desire) to go slummin aruond lol.

Its all good. Found the lighter fluid!
