actually yes i do...
like for instance, that "Kingdom Hospital" by Stephen King that aired on tv...
they aimed at some folks that were mentally impaired that could talk to or communicate with the *other side*. does that make sense?

I am beginning to think that there are two types of adults that have the ability to "see"...those who are sensitive enough, and maybe those that are mentally impaired (from personal experience, a lot of these people operate at a level of brain function that is similar to a child)...so, I would think that if children are able to see, the shouldn't someone who has the mental capacity of a child?  Just a thought...but, from personal experience, my uncle is mentally impaired and if the stories that I get are true, then he is able to see and feel presences.

There's a point TKE, I never thought of that viewpoint. It certainly makes sense!

My sister when she was younger; her gma died, and during the whole funeral, she just looked up, as if looking @ someone.

I think there is definoitly a connections between children and ghosts, I dont know if its do to the penial *spelling* gland  or due to the fact that the are more sensetive and more open minded to the things the havent be 'programmed' to believe do not exsist.

I think all young children can and do see ghosts, they don't understand the fear of the unknown, they grow out of it as fear is drilled into them.  I think this also explains adult sightings to a point, anyway.  I do find that a large number of sensatives also had relatives that were gifted, but on the other hand of the coin I feel that our minds only allow us to experience what we can handle.  For instance, my mother in law is very sensative, my husband had "the gift" as a child and teen, but as an adult he can be sitting right next to me when I see, smell, feel something and not experience it with me.  He loves the paranormal, and has me keeping a "ghost log" of my experiences so he can be part of it.  I think a certain experience as a teen frightened him and he "turned off".  I do know that the spirit world senses who's tuned in and who's not and is drawn to people that have a possiblity to "hear" them.
