I've heard that either you can't find the house, or if you do and go in, you'll never come out.
The horse, farmer and plow- The farmer was plowing and something soppked the horse and dragged both the farmer and plow into the water

Bachelor's grove is considered by many to be the most haunted cemetery in the country-some even say the world.

I went there myself once, but didn't get to stay long. I'll be going back again one day soon. You can click here to see my photos from the day I went.

When I visited NW Indiana for 3 weeks that was one of the haunted places I went to...I couldn't get in all the way due to the trespassing signs and all that, but I have a story that my stepdad told me involving bachelor's grove.

When my stepdad was a teenager he and his friends would sometimes go out to bachelor's grove to party. Well one night they drove out there to smoke some pot and whatnot, and his friend had this pipe with a cap on it, and they used the pipe out there and then they walked around the cemetary in a stupor for awhile and then went back to the car to smoke some more dope but they couldn't find the pipe....my stepdad said he was sure that they had it on them. They walked back through the cemetary to look for it but gave up because they were cataclysmically stoned and it would have been impossible to find anything due to the darkness. So they went back to one of their friends house and went to sleep and the next morning they were going to go back out to the cemetary to look for the pipe when one of the friends noticed a small lump underneath the edge of the carpet in the livingroom...they pulled back the carpet and sure enough, there was the pipe.

He has loads of other stories from areas in Illinois and Indiana, I'll post them upon request.

I live in Illinois, and I've always wanted to investigate Bachelor's Grove! I didn't know they had no tresspassing signs posted, that's a bummer. I thought you just couldn't be there after dark.

it would be my second time going there
yes, it is open to the public til sundown, and there r signs telling u not to enter, but they r easy to walk around lol
i see no reason to block off the place from people in broad daylight
but if anyone of u know..it says with in hours...but sun sets at like 6 now a days
dunno if we can be in there????
but ya
the place is overwhelmingly creepy
well.. in the fall ....thought most things r lol
im impressed with wat happened last time i went there

there were no person activity but some strange stuff showed up in my pictures...
very creepy.
as for anyone traveling to chicago or the area i would suggest going here! its worth it
