okay im not sure exactly what happened but here goes

i had a craving for specific chips (ruffles cheddar and sour cream) and none to be had in the house so i had to walk down to the gas station and get some
which didnt bother me too much because i regularly take walks at night.
its pretty much the only time i can get out of the house.
On my way to the gas station I had this weird idea that I was being followed.
Something that isn't so unusual, I get the feeling occasionally when I'm out for a walk so it doesnt really bother me
...The street I live on is parallel to the main road (by about a couple small blocks) though I was on my street; when I thought about where I happened to be, when I had the feeling, I knew that just over to my left on the main road would be the town mortuary. And I usually have a feeling I'm being watched when I pass by there. Like 'someone' out of curiousity is watching me go by.

What's unusual about this time, is that it was a strong enough feeling for me to turn around. Like I needed to check the area (for any possible threat?).
I didn't see anything and couldn't shake the feeling until I was almost at the gas station. After I left I was about a quarter of the way home when I had that feeling again but stronger and not only that, but I heard something as well. Like very loud whispering.
At that spot I could easily see the main road so it couldnt have been a car going by because there werent any near at the time. I thought maybe since I was also pretty close to a house, I was hearing someones t.v. but there weren't cars in the driveway (no garage) and none of the lights were on.
I knew the sound was coming from my right (where the house was).
The only other option I could imagine because there was a flagpole on the front lawn, it could've been the flag flapping around. But when I focused on that it was making a very different sound than the whispering I was still hearing and likewise for the wind blowing the trees in the neighborhood.

Thats when my attention was directed to the backyard of the house I was near. I couldn't see anything but had a very strong sense of there being two 'persons' in the yard watching me and talking. That's when I heard something a little more clearly and I was heading for home fast. What I heard sounded to me like...Going to slip right back into (his/its) fingers.

I have two possibilities involving what I heard

Something in my own head (Too long and involved to get into except to say I survived but having oral surgery thursday and not being too happy with the idea of being sedated via an i.v.). My issues have issues about being medicated for any reason and the possibility is I could be subconsciously trying to chicken out. Though at the time surgery and all it involves was the furthest thing from my mind.
OR...
It was something that I did hear because I had been followed by something or things (I really couldn't shake that feeling especially after what I sensed on my way home). I have to admit its been recently that I've been hearing voices again but on most of those occasions there are so many at once and 'talking' so fast I cant make it out to be more than just gibberish.
I'm just happy that they keep it quiet for the most part. But whats difficult to expalin about that is when I hear them its very rare that I can make out whats said or have an emotional reaction to whats said.
Most times it's through emotions that I can translate into a comprehensible
"language"

So whats freaking me out is I dont know to what I was really reacting. Something that was just in my own head and I spooked myself when two ghosts finally let me know where they were.
Or I was already reacting to somethings which weren't too friendly and I wasn't about to stick around to try and figure out why.

Thanks for listening. If anyone needs me I'll be in the corner with my wooden stake, hiding under the blanket for the rest of the night. :whoohoo:

Wow Boo. That is a bit creepy. I'm glad you made it home safely. Have you ever considered carrying a protection talisman?

Hi Lulaboo, sounds like you are sensitive to things and maybe that is why you attracted some attention. I think somethings don't realize just how strong and brave you really are. I am proud of you. You have all the luck you need with you now, its your mind and it's ability to reason with things. Thanks for sharing with us. Stay safe and in the light. DonVega:-)

I can indentify with your situation, lulaboo. During my tenure at the Imperial Casino Hotel (World's Most Haunted Places, p. 61) I noticed at least two places in the hotel where I not venture without a buddy or at least a strong flashlight. Both of them were entrances into the basement where the former owner supposedly died. There was nothing to indicate a presence of any kind, and yet when you looked down the stairs into the darkness, you had the feeling that someone--or something--was looking back. It's hard to explain until you've had that feeling . . .

You can read more about it at:

And it might not have been anything that spectacular. Maybe your teachers just wanted to get you home and so they frightened you so you'd get there faster. That happened to me one time. I got frightened out of my house with a creepy, "evil" feeling and when I thought it was something paranormal too, I found out that it was just a reason for making me move. Most of us immediately think of divine, or ghostly or paranormal reasons when something different happens, but it's usually a very normal or simple reason for the occurance.

Thanks Donvega thats very kind of you to say.

Earth Spirit, very interesting tales I read through all you had posted! I have to admit it is hard to explain the feeling unless you have it. You can't see anything but you know something is there.

And Petunia4498 I honestly hadn't thought of it that way...I had been in a bit of a hurry to get out and back as fast as I could. It was only my grandma and myself at home around that time and even though it was late and my grandma was asleep so I knew for certain she'd be allright, I really didn't like the idea of leaving her alone for too long. So that could very easily be a good possibility itself.

I would be a little more freaked about the threat of the living walking down the road at night than any spirits. It's nice to know you made it back okay.

I think at first the little peculiarities (feelings of being watched) was just amplified by the fact that it was an impromptu late trip the the store and every little thing from then on fed your fear.

I've had those same fear driven epsiodes. I would have been sprinting back home, forget the chips. Make toast!

Do you have an EMF detector? If you do carry it with you and check for possible EMF's when You have the feelings. When they subside, check again! See if there are any differences in the readings.
