"Taunton State Hospital first opened in 1854 to alleviate the strain felt by the state hospital in Worcester. Originally named the State Lunatic Asylum in Taunton, it is one of several state building designed by Thomas Kirkbridge, the leading architect of hospitals at the time. Over time most of the hospital has closed due to disrepair. The hospital is now a secure lockup and mental health facility in use by Massachusetts’ Department of Youth Services, Department of Social Services and the Department of Mental Health. It houses convicted juvenile offenders and offers care to wards of the state and the youth of Massachusetts with specific and nonspecific mental health issues that have a history of violent behavior. It now goes by the nickname Taunton Secure and has created fear among its residents and staff. Given the nature of the clientele, the history of the building and the highly emotional energy of the building, it is not surprising you can find several different spirits calling the jail home.

It was Designed by Kirkbride who also designed Worcester and Danvers Asylums both are very haunted.

Just looking at it from the outside sends shivers down my spine. However, that wouldn't keep me from going inside and wanting to check out the basement. (As long as I wasn't alone when I went down there)

I've never been to the Taunton State Hospitaln to it's sister hospital Danvers State.
As Caesar stated it was Designed by Kirkbride. A very gracful building, very beautiful building with a horrific and tragic past. It is very haunted. I have made a few visits and have many many pictures of the inside and outside. The history of the DSIA is a fantstic and sad one. It strated out with all of the best intention and things went very wrong along the way. The imprints of happiness, sadness, fear and hate that were left behind can be obviously felt as you go through the place. I am very sure that Taunton is much the same way.

The zip code is 02780 and Satan worshipers in Taunton yes in the 70's and early 80's there were many groups in thar area like Freetown, Assonet, Rehoboth and a few others. that area isn't to far from the Forest and at that time it was owned by Native Indians. just look at all the killings in that forest that were linked to satanic groups.

Ahh which killings? The Arruda case? Nope, that wasn't satan worship related. Just a sick psychopath. Just because a defendant says the devil made him do it, doesn't make it a satan/paranormal killing.

What evidence of satanic slaughter is there related with Taunton State Hospital?

I talked to a former police officer awile ago and he believed that there were alot more satan worshipers then many people think in that area. Alan Alves was once considered an authority on Satanism and the occult.

"Freetown police said it was the second such recent incident, noting a dozen calves were butchered in the same spot in late April.
Detective Lt. Alan L. Alves said both killings appear to have been part of a local satanic cult's sacrificial rituals."

"1979: Satanic cult members murder three young women involved in Fall River prostitution. The bodies of two of the women are found elsewhere with their skulls crushed, their hands and legs lashed together; only the mutilated skull of the third victim is recovered. Police investigators, locating evidence of devil-worshipping activity at several locations in the forest, believe the victims were lured by the cult and slain in ritualistic sacrifice.

Three cult members are later convicted of the murders."

"Everything has happened at night," observed Lt. Alves. "They come under the cover of darkness to hide their crimes. … You've got probably 300,000 people in New Bedford, Fall River, Taunton and the surrounding towns who are within 20 minutes of one of the most secluded places in the state. It's used as a dumping ground."

not to mention a corps from a local cemetery being dug up, I bring up the forest because its right next door to Taunton and to sugest that you are shocked that there was any satan worshipers in taunton is a little silly unless you know/knew them all.

Who said there were any satanic slaughters in the hospital anyway? I don't think there was!

This is what was asked "What evidence of satanic slaughter is there related with Taunton State Hospital?"

The key word being "related". I never said there were murders at the hospital.

I'm not saying there were murders at the hospital or that satan was there. what I am saying is that Satan worshipers were a huge problem in that area it was so bad that Freetown hired Alan L. Alves to investigate some of the crimes, in the Freetown area. there were all levels of cult activity he also help in Fall River, Taunton and New Bedford and even in Bridgwater.

Yup, Alan Alves a Freetown police officer. Disgruntle employee that accused the Freetown police chief of stealing pot from the evidence room. Upset that he wasn't promoted. Now a registered Hypnotherapist.

Oh and the "satan worshipper" Robin Murphy confessed that the story about satan worship was made up. She just wanted to nail Carl Drew. Her testimony got her a lighter sentence and she was paroled in 2004.

But nice quote from South Coast today.
