I and my friends have been there and were scared out of our wits when she attacked us...Joe Citro alludes to our experience when he talks in some of his books about Vaughn and the shaking car...I'm Vaughn. He's never spoken to me about it, so he must have gotten the incident related to him from a third party. Believe me, what we experienced there was FAR SCARIER than what little he has written in his books about it.

Very interesting. Have you gone back since? If so have you had more experiences?

Yes, my second visit was almost as scary as the first. Although she didn't attack us this time, she certainly made her presence known in a most unnatural fashion. Since those two incidents, I have been too scared to go back there at night, and it's been over 30 years since those events.

All of those who write about weird things happening at Emily's bridge, I believe you. This place scared the hell out of me. here's my personnal story:

I went to Emily's Bridge on October 10th 2004 with my sister and a friend. We only wanted to get there just to be scared and have fun because of the scary urban legend about it. We arrived at the bridge around 11:15 p.m. First we took some shots with the camcorder from inside the car. We were in front of the bridge. Then, my sister went outside the car and took some video footage of the bridge for maybe 5-10 minutes. Then, we decided to pass through the bridge and record everything with the camera while we would pass through.

After that, we stopped at a service station in Stowe to take a rest, buy a coffee, go to bathroom and take a look at the tape. And the BAD_WORD happened:

On the back window of the car ( on the outside ) there were 4 long fingerprints (on the left side of the back window), as if a hand would have touch the car. The way the fingerprints were, it looked like a hand with long nails... it was weird...

On the tape: Everything we filmed from inside the car at the beginning is ok. But the part we filmed from outside the car ( 5-10 minutes) is completly missing : we only see the image of the bridge for 1 second, then, the tape mysteriously cut. The part inside the bridge is also missing. This sequence begins with us, starting the car, approaching the bridge, then it cut at the second we enter the bridge and the footage comes back while we're driving along the "covered bridge road" on the other side of the bridge.

That’s not all : on our camera, we can record on a usual small “tape cassette” or on a memory card. when we arrived at home, we looked again at the tape and noticed that there were 3 short sequences on the memory card. On the 3 of them, we see the entrance of the bridge and some kind of a big white light shaped like a human form that I would describe like a lady wearing a long dress, and moving towards us - but it's all white ( this one is very short and last 3 seconds). On the second one, we see the "lady" with her head bending on a side and her "mouth" seems to be wide open. On the third one, nothing, it's too dark.
Another weird detail... normally, when we record on the memory card, it records the image and the sound. But those 3 clips have no soundtrack. No sound at all. why ??
One last thing, the "lady" on the footage is on the left side of the bridge - same side as the fingerprints.

My friend never wanted to go back at Emily's Bridge. I went back a few times with my sister but nothing really happened except for some mysterious technical problems: the image stop recording but the soundtrack continues, sometimes the tape cut and comes back a second after etc...

After that night, I made researches on the net and found out that exactly one year before ( same date, October 10 but in 2003 ) a guy went there and got his car scrathed on the left side- ( again, the left side... and the same date ??!) . I also wrote to Joe Citro ( specialist and book writer on “haunted Vermont”) to tell him about my experience at the bridge. He answered me and was'nt suprise at all by my story since he has heard so many weird encounters happening at this bridge.. I guess I was just one more ! He also told me about a girl who got attacked there. totally creepy stuff.

and that's it ! For those who wander where is that unique footage of October 10th 2004, it's at my sister's ex-boyfriend house. He still has it... I am currently making pressure on him to have it back!! He always say that's it's in a box somewhere is his appartment ... but at least, he still has it !
