Edain McCoy is a prolific writer, a Witch, and the author of numerous books. Her writing style is topnotch and she has the keen ability to educate and entertain at the same time.
In her book, If You Want To Be A Witch, McCoy offers her personal insights, opinions, and thoughts on the subject. She talks about the Book of Shadows, The Wiccan Rede, the birth and rebirth of Witchcraft, the power of ritual, casting the circle, celebrating the Witches' Sabbats, Magick and the Moon, black, white, and green magick, Tarot reading, scrying, and other forms of divination, astrology and herbcraft, the six most important magickal skills, and spells and magick. There is a resources section at the conclusion of the book, lengthy appendix material, and index.
A personal document and highly readable, it is researched and detailed. There is much food for thought in this well-crafted non-fiction book. If you want to be a Witch, this is a good book to start with. Topnotch writing from beginning to end. Enjoyable reading!
