This is one of the most remarkable and clearly written workbooks to be published in a long while. It is all about how to understand and interpret your own birth chart, and essentially, it is a fine workbook for personal transformation. Douglas Bloch and Demetra George have put together an excellent and well-written account.
Tables, illustrations, and exercises are extremely helpful to the reader. The first part of the book covers the basics and a clear introduction to the zodiac. Structure of the birth chart and how to write your personality profile is detailed in-depth. Applications of astrology are discussed.
There are seven appendices. They cover keywords for signs, houses, planets, progressions, and other topics. A bibliography is included.
All in all, this is an extremely well-crafted book on astrology, one that works to the benefit of a person attempting to learn how to cast a chart, and what goes into the chart for accuracy. The section on applications of astrology is one of the best ever written.
Highly recommended. Astrology For Yourself is great entertainment and enjoyable reading! The authors also wrote Asteroid Goddesses, and are professional astrologers living in Oregon.
