It's been an incredible month of growth here in the Village. I'd like to welcome everyone who saw me on

This month on Ghostvillage, we're going to explore the subject of spirit photography a little closer. I’m skeptical about many alleged "spirit photographs." Fingers in front of the lens, double exposures, and lens flares are just some of the many photographic miscues that often get labeled as supernatural. But assuming the person who took the photo wasn't trying to deceive, some spirit photography images have certainly made me say, "Hmmm." And a very select few have even made me say, "Wow!"
This month we're going to discuss the evidence that spirit photography offers. We'll explore the false-positives, the common mistakes, we'll debate orbs until we're blue in the face, and we'll take a look at some images that make us all say, "Wow!"
I'm looking forward to a lively discussion this month and hope you'll be a part of it. Also, if any Massachusetts Ghostvillagers are interested in a meetup, I'm giving a free lecture at

Where do you live?
Currently, I live in Santa Cruz, California. I grew up in Berkeley, California, attended Imperial College in London, England, and studied Law at the University of California - Santa Cruz.
What do you do for a living?
I work in legal advocacy for a non-profit.
What first got you interested in the supernatural?
I cannot ever remember not being interested in the supernatural... My idea of fun at recess was "going into trances" (lol). My mother has informed me that I have been speaking of the dead since I was 2. She was not exactly thrilled to hear about what I was seeing and hearing. "It" came from the other side of the gene pool as far as she was concerned.
I have had many paranormal experiences over the years; far too many to delve into now. All of this led me to become a paranormal investigator and the founder of 6 CENTS Investigations. Do you have a personal totem animal?
Yes, I have many totem animals. My heritage is a mix of Irish and Native American -- Potawatomi Tribe -- Fire Nation... I guess that makes me a kind of Faery-Shaman... lol.
I suppose the animal that I have a close magical affinity with is the raven. My surname, in fact, translated from Gaelic means raven.
What was the make and model of the first car you owned?
A 1978 Toyota Corolla, mustard yellow.
