Dear Ghostvillagers,

If you've been wandering the side-streets and alleys of our ghost village this month, you've no doubt seen a lot happening! We've posted a record number of new ghost encounters, a record number of new age book reviews, we've had more than 300 people register for our message boards in just the last month, and in our resources section, we've posted our first book excerpt ever -- it's from Rachel Pollack's new book, The Kabbalah Tree!

This is exciting. I love seeing all of these people from so many different walks of life and so many countries coming together to share their experiences and views on the supernatural. I'm learning so much from all of you -- and I appreciate it -- you keep me coming back! The subject of ghosts, spirituality, and the supernatural is gaining ground -- there are so many groups, publications, television shows, and Web sites all offering their unique perspective on the subject, and we should celebrate all of them.

Hey, can I trust you with a secret? Come here... get closer to your screen. Some big things are coming to our village in the very near future. We have a project coming up that's going to require the help of the world's leading paranormal investigators -- it's something that hasn't been done before. I may have said too much already. Keep an eye on our message boards and on the next newsletter for more information. And have you checked the countdown clock on our home page? We're just one month away from our biggest announcement to date. Many of you have been asking what it's about. So I'll tell you... next month.

In August and September, we'll be taking on the road! We're having a haunted camp out in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on September 25th (see below for more information). Also, in August I'll be speaking at the SGRA conference in Stratford, Connecticut -- if you're in the hemisphere, stop by, see the show, and be sure to say hello. I'll also be a guest on Magick Mind Radio August 12th -- be sure to call in -- we'll swap stories and talk ghosts. Enjoy the rest of the newsletter below!

Supernaturally yours,

Jeff Belanger

Find the Ghost and Win!
Congratulations to Jim Smith of Brooksville, Florida! Jim was last month's winner of a year's subscription to Mysteries magazine!

The "winner" icon on the left has been hidden somewhere on If you're the first to find it, email us with the page it's on, and you win this month's prize. The graphic could be on any page on the Web site (except in the message boards) -- maybe at the top of the page, maybe the bottom, etc. Once we have a winner, we will announce it on our home page as soon as possible. By clicking on the "winner" icon within, it should launch your email with the appropriate subject. If not, email, and in the subject or body, put the URL of the page you found the icon on. Good luck! (Only Ghostvillagers who have not won a prize from us in the last year are eligible.)

This month's prize: an autographed copy of Tamara Thorne's new book, Thunder Road -- Next Exit: Terror...!
