The Man in My ClosetRate this encounter: Raymona, Arlington, Texas, October 1997One night while I was lying in my bed in Cedar Point Apartments when I felt something sit at the end of it on the corner where my feet were. I looked, but nothing was there except a mark like someone had just sat there. I was freaked out, so I tried to get up to go to the bathroom, but I couldn't move my upper body. I could move my head and could move from the waist below, but that's it. It felt as if something was sitting on my chest. My boyfriend at the time was asleep next to me so I started hitting him to wake up and help me, but he was out. I started crying because I knew something was there. When I relaxed, I felt the pressure lift suddenly so I got up fast and saw a little man run into the closet. I saw nothing until that point. I went to the bathroom and washed my face and went back to sleep. The next night I lied down, but stayed up listening for anything. Again, it felt like something sat at the end of the bed and there again was another spot like someone was sitting there. I said out loud for whoever it was to please not sit on my chest or do whatever it did. It didn't. I went to sleep and then woke up in the middle of the night and was curious so I looked in the closet and I saw a short man in an army jacket, army hat, and a dark mustache. I had told people about it because at that point I knew something was there. My boyfriend's father said he would hear the toilet flush all night and when he would get up to see why, he wouldn't hear anything. I convinced my friends to come over and check it out because I knew it only made itself known at night, in the dark. We were all in the living room with all the lights off and the encounters were happening in the bedroom. I shut the door a little and told them to be quiet and listen or watch the door because I was sure something would happen, and sure enough, the door shut completely and there was no one in there! Everyone took of running outside, myself included because I was hoping that it was just me.
