NEW GRAVITY MEDIA TEAMS UP WITH JOHN ZAFFIS FOR PARANORMAL MUSEUM PROJECTBOSTON, MA November 7, 2009 - On the tail of their highly successful and award winning paranormal documentary 14 Degrees, New Gravity Media has officially announced their recent collaboration with nationally acclaimed demonologist John Zaffis to produce their latest and forthcoming film Museum of the Paranormal.Scheduled for a spring 2010 release, Museum of the Paranormal will serve to tell the mysterious and haunting history surrounding several featured artifacts in Zaffis legendary Connecticut museum. The films featured items range from a poltergeist ravaged stuffed teddy bear; to a very unsettling ventriloquist dummy named Simon, known for his independent conversations with a frightened young child. The museum, which contains well over a thousand artifacts, began primarily as part of the paranormal research and assistance effort conducted by John Zaffis over the past 35 years. Most of the items in the museum were at one time directly related to, or the focus of a haunting or paranormal research case and the items previous owners would very often request that these items be removed from their property in the hopes of preventing a further outbreak of activity. John Zaffis explains The museum started off as a very bizarre type of thing actually, I always had this thing where I used to collect various items from a case, and over the years I would just pile them up in boxes in the barn behind house. Well a few years back I said I need to make a decision on what Im going to so with all these things and I said I want to do a paranormal museum. But I wanted to do something different; I wanted to integrate different belief systems, religions, and cultures. I think its important to tell those stories, but also incorporate them so people can understand these things, that there isnt just one culture, one belief system that these things occur. Its world wide and it happens to everybody and it has for thousands and thousands of years. Museum of the Paranormal, which is slated to be shot at several key locations throughout New England, will be hosted by Zaffis himself and will feature the same collaborative efforts of the successful filmmaking trio (Anthony Z. Monti, Joanne L. Harritos and Michael J. Baker) responsible for the award winning production and wide spread acclaim of 14 Degrees - A Paranormal Documentary. Michael Baker, the films director explains: A successful film requires not only a great idea, which we have, but also a successful team and honestly I dont think you could find a better crew of people on either side of the camera than the one weve got right here. This project has all the right pieces, its unique, its exciting and I have no doubt its destined for success.
