-Take Exit 49
-Head east 3 miles, following the Visitor Center signs through downtown Haverhill to the Haverhill Historical Society Visitor Center.
-After the Intersection (light) at Water Street, Ginty Boulevard and Mill Street, take the second left on to John Ward Avenue.
-The Buttonwoods Museum/Haverhill Historical Center is on the top of the hill to the right.

FROM ROUTE 95 NORTH OR SOUTH
-Take Exit 54
-Follow Route 133 to Route 97 (becomes Water Street).
-After the light at the intersection of Groveland Street / Water Street, take a right on to Buttonwoods Avenue and the first left onto John Ward Avenue.
-The Buttonwoods Museum/Haverhill Historical Center is on the left after Linwood Chapel.
