Bide One's TimeGhost CatBy Lee Prosser In our century-old haunted Victorian house, my wife Debra and I have many visitors. Debra and I are both sensitive to the paranormal. One paranormal visitor is the ghost of an orange cat. We call this ghost, simply, "Cat." It appears at the oddest times, and is completely friendly and playful. Sometimes the ghost cat can be seen cleaning itself at the top of the wood stairs leading to the second floor. Cat also has a special affection for my Siamese cats, Frank and Barry. It is enjoyable to watch them chase and play with Cat. Cat also interacts with my other two felines in the house, Bessie and Bob. It is nice to have a friendly ghost cat in one's home. Perhaps, it is a guardian for the house and its occupants, lingering on of its own choice rather than passing over. The world is full of friendly paranormal visitors. Cat is one of them.
Lee Prosser is Ghostvillage.com's book reviewer and a
regular contributor. "Bide One's Time" is Prosser's twice-monthly column on his supernatural musings.
